David Morin, LMT, Instructor: Bio

David Morin’s career spans more than thirty years of working on the cutting edge of Clinical Massage Therapy and Sports Injury Rehabilitation, including two Olympic Games (1996 &; 2000).

Drawing on his vast experience, in 2001 David developed this series of six courses in Medical Massage Therapy to teach massage therapists how to go beyond the routine and succeed where others fail.

David teaches advanced clinical techniques of massage therapy that can bring your clients out of pain, even if you think you’ve tried everything.

1965- BA in Biological Sciences, Texas Western College, El Paso, Texas.

1966-1969- Medical Motion Picture Photographer, Walter Reed Army Medical Center,
Washington, D.C. Served in Vietnam on Medical Photo Team.

1978- Graduated  American Institute of Massage Therapy, Gainesville, Florida
School Director- Benny Vaughn, ATC, LMT.

1978-1983    Private practice in Sarasota, Florida. Studied Neuromuscular Therapy with
Paul St. John LMT, St. Petersburg, Florida. Certified in NMT.

1983-1990- Private practice in Ruidoso, New Mexico. Started 1st Massage School in
southern New Mexico in 1987.

1989-1991- Teaching assistant to Paul St. John in 20 NMT Seminars across USA.

1990-1998    Consulting Sports Massage Therapist to University Of Texas at El Paso.
Traveled with men’s & women’s track & field team to every WAC
Conference and NCAA Championships, both Indoor and Outdoor.

1996- Summer Olympic Games, Atlanta, Ga.  Hired as Sports Massage Therapist
for world class sprinters.

2000- Summer Olympic Games, Sydney, Australia. Hired as Sports Massage
Therapist for Obadele Thompson , Barbados (Bronze medal in 100 meters)
and Debbie Ferguson, Bahamas (Gold Medal in 400 meter relay).

2001- Began teaching the five part series of NCB Approved CE courses entitled
Medical Massage Therapy for soft tissue pain & dysfunction.

2004- First LMT selected to teach for Cross Country Seminars, Nashville,
Tennessee. Traveled to 18 cities with CE course entitled
“Manual Treatment of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome”.

2005- Hired to teach a five week course in Musculoskeletal Assessment at the
Maui School of Massage in Makawao. First trip to Hawaii. Blown away.

2006- Moved to Maui. Continue to teach MMT courses in Arizona, Oregon, &
Washington.

2007-present  Teaching MMT Courses in Hawaii, California, Arizona, Oregon Washington, Colorado & New Mexico.
